January
AI Health Ecosystem

Background

January is an health tech company.

Originally innovating in glucose prediction and management, they've since evolved to build 360 health AI platforms, with a deep focus in lifestyle and behaviour change.

My Role

I work with January as a consultant and often-designer on their prioritiy initiaves.

This year that has included: evaluating the evolution of their app to go beyond nutrition and glucose prediction into a behaviour change platform, developing a web-based report app to demonstrate their new AI health context engine, Mirror, and progressing their visual brand direction to help align them more closely with their new enterprise customers.

Overview

As a relatively small start-up, Januay experiments fast and pivots often, doubling down on areas that gain momentum. This year they have transitioned from being a consumer first business to an enterprise business.

That has meant adapting and evaluating needs as they come, developing tools and strategies that best support this business needs as we go.

The work is fast, instinctive and often resigned to MVPs, but progress is being made.

A web-platform for demonstrating AI platform capabilities

Without a way to clearly demonstrate the capability of their AI Health Context enginge, Mirror — we developed a front-end report platform, that aggregated and cross-referenced customer health data to generate an example digital report with system by system summaries and action plans for change.

A modernised visual direction for an evolving business

To help with January's pursuit towards global enterprise clients, we've establish an evolved brand direction to better target both clients in the more clinical space as well as the wellness space.

The updated system included a refined and simplified colour palette, new image collections, icons, as well as introducing more academia themed assets to support January's extensive research publications.
